Antoine Christophe, popularly known as Koffi Olomide will for the next 2 years call the walls of prison his home.
This is after the 62 year old Soukus singer, dancer, producer, and composer was found guilty of raping his former dancer while she as 15 years old.
Although Koffi Olomide was absent during the trial, he has been instructed to pay 5,000 euros (Sh 576,737) in damages to his former dancer.
In addition to this, Koffi Olomide has also been ordered to pay the same amount to three of his other former dancers who claimed the singer had sexually assaulted them on multiple occasions between 2002 and 2006.
Many fans are however not surprised by Koffi Olomide’s sentence on virtue of his sexual and physical assault.
In 2016, Koffi Olomide was deported from Kenya after he was caught kicking a woman at JKIA. The woman at the time was one of his dancers.
Before that, in 2012, Koffi Olomide had received a suspended three-month sentenced for striking his producer.
This latest event is therefore not new but a recurrent behavior. Hopefully, this sentence will help our African man to be a better man. Because Africans learn not repeat mistakes
