Kiharu Member of Parliament has said that he would rather lose his seat than mock God in an apology aimed at Gitui Catholic Church in Murang’a County.
Nyoro Ndindi issued the apology while speaking in an interview at Kameme TV on Tuesday morning.
“I want to be the first one to apologize on behalf of myself and other politicians who were at Gitui church. If I have made a mistake, I am sorry, forgive me,” Ndindi said.
Ndindi Nyoro further added that it is God who has brought him this far and that he cannot afford to mock him.
“I would rather lose my seat than mock God. He is the one who has brought me this far,” Nyoro stated.
Ndindi’s apology comes after Murang’a Catholic Bishop, James Maria Wainaina, condemned the behaviour of Ndindi Nyoro and Maina Kamanda who disrupted a church service on Sunday, September 8.
“It’s sad that such an incident happened in our church. I was not aware that there were guests invited to the church, only to hear through the media that chaos has erupted. It is saddening and very unfortunate and I have initiated investigations and will be taking action,” Bishop Wainaina was quoted by the Nation.
