Former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has advised Deputy President William Ruto that he only needs to do one thing if he is serious about being Kenya’s 5th President in 2022.
Kabogo was speaking in an interview at Radio Jambo when he chipped into the 2022 general election debate that is already gaining ground across the country.
Deputy President William Ruto expects that president Uhuru Kenyatta will turn the tide in his favor but according to Kabogo, that is not going to happen.
“Let him (Ruto) not be fooled that Uhuru or other area leaders will deliver the Mt Kenya vote to him in 2022. The people know who they will vote and are very unlikely to be shepherded into where to vote,” Kabogo said.
According to William Kabogo, Ruto becoming president in 2022 is dependendent on one factor, his track record.
“Let him work for the people and the votes will come, but being told that so and so will give him the votes is a big lie,” added the ex-county boss.
