Manchester United’s star shot stopper David De Gea has reportedly told friends that he wants to call time on his United career as he seeks to win silverware.
With his contract running down at the end of the season, De Gea had previously agreed a deal in principle with the red devils worth £350,000 a week but is yet to sign on the dotted line.
According to The Sun, the 28-year-old has now informed his close friends that he wishes to talk to other clubs during the January season because he does not see the current united squad being able to challenge for titles.
The clock is ticking as Manchester united fear loosing one of Europe’s top shot stoppers for free next summer.
Express Sport understands that Juventus have already expressed interest in snapping up De Gea on a free at the end of the season and are free to sign in on a pre-season contract during the January transfer market.
Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid are also said to be long term admirers of the Spanish International.
Since joining from Atletico Madrid in 2011, De Gea has made 366 appearances for the red devils with many considering him the best goalkeeper in the world.
