Kenyans are calling upon the Directorate of Criminal Investigations to question trade unionist Hon Francis Atwoli over the remarks that he made in Lamu directed at Ruto.
Atwoli said that Ruto’s name will not be on the ballot for the 2022 elections because God has a plan.
His remarks have however not gone well with a section of Ruto’s camp who are now questioning Atwoli’s motives.
Leader of Majority and Garissa MP Hon Aden Duale asked Atwoli to respect his age or risk public shame.
Kericho Senator Hon Aron Cheruiyot has emphasized that the remarks by Atwoli should not be taken lightly arguing that plans may be underway to eliminate the DP from the political stage by taking his life away.
Cheruiyot likened the threats by Atwoli to those of the late Kabete MP and trade unionist George Muchai.
“The threat by Atwoli that WSR will not be on the ballot come 2022 shouldn’t be taken lightly. The late Hon Muchai and Atwoli disagreed on COTU leadership, by election time he was for sure not on the ballot,” Cheruiyot said.
Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi also shared his view on the matter pointing out that the DCI should reprimand Atwoli over the remarks.
